Can you hear what your customers want? — Sept 19, 2012
10.09.12 | In Seminar
This discussion will explore the overlapping voices that say they speak for the end users of products, who should you listen to? Why should you put what you hear at the top of your specifications? There are many demands on design outcomes, many documented and understood, some even written in law. Curiously those that are [...]
Intelligent plant selection using PlantScan technology — July 6, 2012
02.07.12 | In Seminar
The objective of PlantScan is to monitor and compare individual plants via imaging systems to select those most efficient at photosynthesis. It’s using modern technology to ‘naturally select’ as an alternative to GM and because food crop yields are increasing at only 2% annually whereas the globe needs to produce 50% more food by 2050 [...]
Analysis and Design of an Exoskeleton Arm — Dec 21, 2011
06.12.11 | In Seminar
The analysis and design of an exoskeleton arm with a non captive rotary joint. I looked at the range or motion for different exoskeleton configurations and based on my analysis, designed an elbow and rotary shoulder joint to prevent any restrictions to the user’s normal range of motion.
Test Systems: The Intelligent Distributed Approach — Nov 30, 2011
15.11.11 | In Seminar
My experience with “Intelligent Distributed Test Systems” in the Medical Device Industry – using NI PXI, CVS, LabView & TestStand.
PLC Systems — Nov 2, 2011
10.10.11 | In Seminar
My experience with PLCs and what I’ve learned about them, and why I like Omron over Allen-Bradley systems.
